Pacific-freaking-rim is my favourite action movie now ok

I know I'm a few months late but at least I watched it hahahah
Wasn't too keen on it at first but the other movies seem boring

Jokes aside,
I was initially wanting to watch star trek into the darkness but happened to scroll past some reaction gifs to Pacific Rim on tumblr so I thought, "maybe I should give it a go".

FYI I'm not a big sci fi fan
but there are a handful of good sci fi movies.
Most of the time, sci fi movies spend A LOT of time explaining and setting up the scene which is alsdgjalksdjf tiring to try to understand everything. Not to mention, some settings are too surreal and as the movie progresses, there's not much to anticipate for....uhm just sucks in general. They have these crazy theories in place and they want you to know it well in order to understand how the plot unfolds. Therefore I was hesitant to watch a sci fi movie like Pacific Rim at 11:30pm at night because I'm running on critical energy from that point on hahahahha Turns out, the movie wasn't too difficult to catch on and the ideas were actually really interesting.

Throughout the 2 hours of watching this damn epic movie, I couldn't help but say
"what the fek is this shit"
"what the fek is that shit"
"oh shit ......-moment of silence- -epic comeback- SWAAGGGGG"
and all of the reaction gifs above

They called those transformer looking machines - Jaeger
and whenever they say that word, an image of Eren Jaeger from Attack on Titans appear in my head. Then I'd remember wanting to break my screen watching Eren being a total skumbag in the anime. Made me drop the anime in 7 ish episodes. See this is why I suck at following animes so I don't even watch them anymore.

17mins into the movie, then the titles come up hahahah felt like I got slapped in the face by the producers and being told "Hey guess what, it's only just started."
Nevertheless, it was definitely one of the greatest action/sci fi movies I've ever watched. Could say it's next to or slightly above transformers 1, 2, 3 all combined. I'm going to get killed for saying that but that's my honest opinion. There are just a bit more feels in Pacific rim that are not romance based, which is hella awesome.

Guise my earphones broke again ....




this is the 4th time this year :(
spends over 100AU on this nice pair of earphones by audio technica in Taiwan - slams door shut on one earphone and breaks it
spends 8 bucks on a random cheap crappy quality earphone - one side randomly stops working
spends 12 bucks on a normal earphone - randomly stops working again
spends 30 bucks on a high quality and comfort earphone - breaks within 2 month of good care

Those spooky stories 

Ok so I was reading some scary urban legends last night and that made me think of all the stories I've heard and believed were true but never actually went out and testify it. I studied grade 1 and 2 in Taiwan and at that time, my primary school use to be the "Taipei Air Force school for children" but then was renamed to the current name -" Huaisheng primary school". That place was founded by a really famous Sergeant and students would study with the sound of missiles and aircraft engines. Even though it's been a really long time since then, the rumours still go around the school about certain places in the school.

We had a really tall and deep pond at one side of the entrance and it was rumoured that someone fell in there and the body was never found. Aight I know it sounds fake as but at that time I believed it hahahahaha We'd still make jokes about it but everyone was secretly scared of that pond....but that wasn't the scariest place in the school.

I think the worst place at that time was the second floor girls toilets near the south side of the school. Damn that place was creepy as. No one would go in those toilets unless when they're obligated to do so for their cleaning duty. That place was dark and spooky. It's hard to explain but it sends this chill down your spine and you'd want to get out of there asap. Ya know, your instincts kick in and tell you that you're not suppose to be there, you feel this force is repelling your existence in that area. Thank goodness though...my classroom was at the other side of the school so I never had to walk across that, and when I need to, I'd take the long way (go down/up the stairs and skip that toilet section and go down/up to second floor again).

Some of you might have heard of me talk about this friend who I "protected/defended for" all the time back in Taiwan. Yeah she cries easily and gets targeted often by the class because of that and I happen to stand up against injustice and shit like that hahahahaha One day, she revealed that she could see those things, she'd point at the air and blurt out "there's something there" occasionally and grab us away to the other side of the classroom. That kind of made sense to me because she'd always look down at her desk like she's trying to avoid something. I swear walking around the school with her was pretty scary cause we'd be walking up the stairs, about to turn the corner and she'd change her mind and drag me back down the stairs and walk the other way without saying a word. Life must be ...tough to be able to see them cause that school has a pretty damn messed up history.

Taking steps but not moving forward

After we were released from school, Victoria wanted to go shoot some hoops and Julie wanted to play ddr so despite I was very tired and all that.. I ended up going with them. They increased from $1 to $2 for a game..I was therefore initially, very hesitant to play a game but gave in at last. The machine was calling out to me I swear (lol). Guess what, I scored the exact same amount of points as last time. 

Was it really that hard for me to get one more ball in to break my own personal record? 

NO.

So why didn't I?

that's how the pros got those sky high scores. Legit witnessed this guy just effortlessly throw with both hands it's like he's doing freestyle in air. I'm also very sure that the 785 high score was done by 2 people (with  epic teamwork and skill) I've seen it.

I'm not actually good at bball as a sport even though I played it as a school sport because the joints always feel so odd so I can't breakthrough the mental barrier of being scared to dislocate or twist something. My brain just tells me "that's not a good idea you're going to break something" so I can't make any plays physically. The more I know hahahahahah. Though near the end of year 11 we did have sporting activities one afternoon and I tried again to play some real bball but ffs the kneecap just decided to dislocate itself kthanksbye. gave me a reason to wag the last few days of school though :D

I actually dislocated it a few times after bio2011. A few times when I turned into another position while I'm trying to sleep, a few times while practicing in 2012, another few times just randomly when I'm changing positions or actions like walking/changing to an awkward direction. Thankfully, after familiarizing with kneecap dislocating itself, I've gotten use to just popping it back into place hahahahaha sounds gross as but there's not much you can do about it other than fixing it, unless if it's really out of place. Well, it's been 7 months ish since the last time it dislocated it self, so I'm hoping it's getting tougher. ....actually...nothing beats the pain (so far) than popping hamstring (honestly dont know what happened but it made a really loud popping sound). danggg that actually hurts for days, couldn't even walk without falling back on fours. Dislocation is just awkwardness, it's so awkward like wtf is this weird thing over here wot.

Before all that, I use to be a bit involved in athletic things but not like full on all day errday. I was once good at sprinting and topped in my class in Taiwan. Then proceeded to top my 100m races in grade 2 and 3 in primary at calvary. I still have dem blue banners xoxoxo. I wish I could still run fast hahahah Then I tried longer distances, did alright. I made cross country teams but were med-slow cause I was unfit and didn't know how to control breathing for a long period of time. Come on I was only good at short distances. BUT THIS ONE TIME. Oh goodness I will never forget this race. I can still see her surpassing me at the end, it's like a gif stored in my brain. 

So it was my first time doing 800m at athletics carnival in redeemer, grade 8 or 9 I can't remember which. I was up against some pretty competitive people including the dux and proxime accessit. They were really all rounders, perfect and all that, everyone including myself, loved them to death. I yoloed the race and kept my pace a bit ahead, then I grew a little tired after about 650m but we were close to the end. So I slowed down a bit to store some energy for the final sprint. BUT WHO KNEW (okay I was probably the only one who didnt expect it cause I was delusional). As I slowed down a tiny bit, she began to sprint like a muddatrucker so I was like aw shit fuk no and sped up to catch up to her but I couldn't. Yep and of course I came second. Ok. okay. alright. never underestimating the power of an all rounder. the walk of shame back to my house tent man.... that's right, I have records of throwing games. 

I think I've previously blogged about all the sports I use to do (which is not a lot). If I could undo this stupid kneecap dislocating event, you bet I would. It would even be better to also undo the hamstring thing too. I'm sure it was related, it was the same leg. To be honest, on some days, I'd wake up knowing/feeling that a tendon is out of place or just awkward in general so end up putting more weight on my other leg for the rest of the day (unconsciously of course). What's happened has happened, I definitely haven't gone through the worst so yeyeyeyey all gee ez.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VICTORIA! + funhouse + bali

HELLO VICTORIA~

Hope you had a fantastic day today!

Even though today was really hot and we had mando paper 2 n shiz like that. I was writing a long card but realised that I should just leave it till graduation to give it to you cause ya know it's the best occasion to shed a bit of tears. 

Tbh idk if I'll cry or not, even though I'm super pumped to get schooling over and done with but who knows. Obviously I'm super keen to graduate and get out there but it's the friends and stooof that are tickling my feels. What feels. 

After school, julie managed to get on the bus but victoria and I didn't make it because the bus was packed but then we met up at bread top in the city afterwards so it was all gee. We proceeded to study the cakes and ended up choosing the Tiramisu cake because we've never tasted this one before. It's actually been ages since we've had our cake eating spree so my taste buds are a bit off. The cake looked decent but it's all about the taste.

 Yeaaah maggie photography! When I went and ordered for it, the chick at the counter was like... (translated) "really???" and I was like "yes" and she repeated again "really??????" and of course I replied "yes.." and back and forth, back and forth for about 5 times. Was told to not include her face in the photo. 

The cake turned out to be super sweet and urghghghhghghghhghghg we didn't finish it. We're not fans of sweet as cakes so we ended up only eating about 3/4 of the cake. The grain looking thing wasn't that good imo and so I didnt eat it. Thought about the people starving and continued to stuff the cake down as much as I can, until I finally admitted defeat to this sweet as muddatrucking cake as my body begins to try and push out my share of the cake :( I held that shit down anyway so dw I didn't make a mess and the cake is well in my tummy and hopefully not turning into fat n all that.

Then we went and took some sticker photos. Haven't taken these since my birthday, so that's about 6 months whoaa. Back in the cake+sticker photo + froyo days... now it's like, go home early and study everyday. Absolute certain that we now really suck at taking sticker photos lolol WE USE TO LOOK PRESENTABLE but now it's like..pls no upload facebook or else. Check out my wrinkly thumb too 

This is time of the year where I just cant find any fuks to give about how I look. Bring on finals, traded candy crush for IB. Realised that most of us started with heavy fringe and all that in grade 10, then slowly lost our fringes and eventually turned into ..uhh the grudge we are today. If you actually think about it, most qa girls have this transition too...

I dug out all the funhouse tickets I've saved for the past 2 years or so. Remember how I told you guys that I was going to save it for the corndog machine? Well, I don't even know if it's there now ..since I haven't been there for months so I bet ..either someone who's better at saving these than me took it, or nobody wanted it and they gave/threw it away :(

So I guess, after graduation... I'll just rock up to one of the stores and put in all these points and exchange it for something decent. Today's toast goes to the basketball machine up at myer center. Really liked how you feed me tickets unlike other shit games that just take your money. Not to mention, my arms were pretty tank all thanks to you. Now it's just like ...faint and flabs hahahahah Probs should mention sunnybank's bbal machine too, you were a tough one. Rewinding Back to 2010 December.
Mum and I went to Bali to have our vacation, tbh we waited for this day since forever. I know that doesn't actually make sense but this is not an english paper idgaf. Since we don't spend much time together, she wanted to have a vacation where it's just us two and no one else. There are some photos I found!

This is me being my awkward self before coming to smt. Oh wait I'm still about the same dammit. The place was asldgjalskf amazing and humid. Just cover me and look at the scenery behind me omg it looks so fake hahahahahaha

The bathtub was amazing too but we didnt end up using it that much during our stay. WHO USES THIS WHEN YOU HAVE OUTDOOR POOL. Just enjoy the scenery and come back for a quick shower so the skin doesnt fall off.

My goodness. I was gonna pass but mum was like, nah try it. So I womaned up and went for it. Worth. It was pretty nice but the aircon was a bit too strong so I didn't even fall asleep. I was just there trying to hold in my runny nose while we face down and look through the part where you place your head. Then I had to opt out for the second session even though I wanted another one cause it was sooo goooood. The flow was just too strong. hahaha is this awks for you, my readers.

Summary of my last school holidays

I tried to blog

time really flies

Let's just say, I tried to study in the holidays but sleepiness always gets to me and then I go for a nap, wake up...do some work and feel sleepy again. Or the temperature is just not right in the morning for a good study, then I wait till the afternoon so the sun isn't trying to shine it's bright arse in my face. Curtains closed, I'll feel sleepy again. 

I did spend more time with my family but I guess I should of done that in every other holiday instead of this one. I've also mastered the skill of not giving a single f about my cousins' feelings. tbh we don't anyway. What are feelings. Our convos are just along the lines of:

cousin1: I'm going to beat you in tetris 

maggie: YOU SHALL NOT PASSSSSSS

maggie: fuk I can't believe you KOed me you midget

I'll keep it G rated but idk if this relationship is healthy. It's just straight up bagging out each other, reverse trolling, putting down each other etc. But we don't really take it to heart so it's like nananannannana no one caresssss.
